Tuesday–Thursday: Core Learning Days

Students rotate through focused learning blocks with built-in movement and play.

Because we are mastery-based and multi-age, every child works at the level that fits them.

Our daily rhythm includes:

• Integrated ELA units with reading, writing, discussion, and hands-on learning
• Frequent breaks based on individual needs
• Teacher circulation between direct instruction, small groups, and independent work
• Lunch around 11:00–11:30 am
• Afternoon math instruction (whole group or leveled, depending on the student)
• Electives and interest-based activities
• Science, when not already integrated into the ELA unit or when deeper exploration is needed

This approach keeps younger learners regulated and engaged, while giving older students time for independent work and mentoring.
